Double Cleansing? Is it For You? What dermatologists say about?

9/30/2019

As I was learning more natural skin care and talking with aestheticians about the best ways to take of our skin, I heard so much about double cleansing.  Most dermatologists agree that we should cleanse our face at least once a day, but no more than twice per day. And if you do it only once, then you should do it at night. This is the best times since your skin accumulated all kinds of oil, dirt, and pollutants during the day, and you can now cleanse your pores.

Oh, I remember those days when I forgot about removing my makeup; I am so glad it was not a regular thing.  Ladies, cleansing is essential for a beautiful skin.

Cleansing helps avoid breakouts, clogged pores. By clearing our pores, cleansers help the nourishing ingredients of our natural skin care products to penetrate the skin.  Cleansing “…can help remove stubborn, pore-clogging and acne-causing impurities that can remain on the skin even after washing your face once,” says board-certified dermatologist David Lortscher, M.D. [source: Dermstore.com]
Many dermatologists tend to agree that double cleansing is better than just cleansing.
Double Cleansing? What dermatologists say? If you have clogged pores or dull skin, you might want to give double cleansing a try. In this blog post, I share about double cleansing and what dermatologists say about it. click to read more. #greenbeauty #naturalskincare #organicbeauty
Double cleansing started in Japan and South Korea before became popular in Europe and North America. The biggest benefits of double cleansing are that it assures that any treatment and moisturizing we put on our skin penetrate deeper in our pores to nourish our skin.

To not strip away the natural oils from the skin, it is so important to understand how double cleansing work and what products to use. The natural skin care products we need to use when double cleansing should hydrate, smooth or exfoliate, help with aging signs, and treat acne.

Double cleansing is an easy 2-steps process
  1. Remove the makeup layer
  2. Use your cleanser to clean the skin

One of the first items of the list in our skin care routines is usually our cleanser. At least this is always the first thing I do. Cleansing helps my skin helps stay away for clogged pores; it also gives me soft and healthy skin. But I had to make some changes. For sometimes actually, my skin was getting drier and I did not know what was happening. So, I needed to learn about how to properly wash my face.

What do I mean? There is a way to clean our face and dermatologists talk a lot about properly cleansing our face.

Dermatologists say that we should clean our face no more than 2 times per day and at least 1 time per day. If we think about it, at night, dead skin, sweat, and oil accumulate on the surface of the skin and during the day on the external pollution also sits on the skin. No matter which way we look at it we need to clean I was face once or twice per day to remove the dead skin or dirt that is building up in our pores.
Also, it’s so important to strike the right balance here. Using harsh cleansers when you remove the natural oils drying the skin and making it look a lot older.

9/14/2019

We all know that we need to moisturize our skin. But, we sometimes forget that there are different types of moisturizers and each of work well for a specific type of skin. In this blog post, I share all the goods about natural moisturizers and what you need to know. Click to read more #greenbeauty #organicskincare #naturalproducts #glowingskin #beautifulskin
We all already know the importance of using moisturizers in our skin care routine; moisturizing your skin is one of the most important step in your skin care routine. But, there are a variety of moisturizers, it can be a little confusing to choose the best one for you.  Also, before we know it, winter will be around the corner and using a great moisturizer all year round especially during winter just goes a long ways.

So, in this blog post, I share with you all that I learned about moisturizing the natural way!!

 Different Types Of Natural Moisturizers

There are mainly four different types of natural moisturizers: gels, lotions, creams, and ointments. Even though moisturizers can be divided into these four categories, you need to keep in mind that they are all a mix of water and lipids (fat).

There are 6 types of natural moisturizers
Did you know that not all moisturizers are great on your skin type? If you want a glowing skin you need to use the right moisturizer. This blog post is all about natural moisturizers your skin needs. Click to read more #greenbeauty #organicskincare #naturalproducts #glowingskin #beautifulskin
#1: Gels
Gels are water-based lotions that are lightweight. They tend to be the least greasy and the lightest type of moisturizers. They easily absorb into skin and are usually a mixture of ingredients that include a liquid lipid base, alcohol, and water.
As soon as you apply the gel on your face, you will immediately feel a cool and refreshing sensation since gels tend to evaporate quickly. Gel moisturizers work well with sensitive skin and acne prone skin.

#2: Oil-free moisturizers
These moisturizers are similar to gel moisturizers. They are lightweight and do not clog the pores; they are generally non-comedogenic. They work great for acne-prone and blemish-prone skin.

#3: Facial oils or serums
You might not think facial oils and serums should be included here, but they are lightweight and packed with moisturizing ingredients. They work great for mature skin and sensitive skin. Facial serum are best for any types of skin; they are formulated to target a specific skin concern: skin brightening, aging sign concerns, and more. They are a mix of high quality oils and extracts that have antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and hydrating properties. The molecules of facial serum have smaller molecules to deeply penetrate the skin.
Facial oils are different than facial moisturizers; they are made from various natural oils.  The molecules in facial oils are bigger than those in facial serums, so they stay at the top layers of the skin to moisturize, balance, and protect our skin. These oils are super effective because they are easily recognized by the skin; they mimic our skin’s natural sebum production.
