Are you wondering what chemicals you should absolutely avoid in your skin products? There are so many chemicals in conventional products. It is essential to have an idea of what to avoid. In this post, I give you the dirty 9 to absolutely avoid in your products.

Up to 60% of what we put on our skin is absorbed through our skin. It is essential to know what ingredients are in our products. In this article, I am sharing with you 9 toxic chemicals to avoid in skin care products. This is very helpful for me and I hope it will help you too.

Do you want to have carcinogenic ingredients in you body? Everyone will reply NO to this question, but unfortunately, mainstream skin care products do not allow us to make this choice.

Many ingredients in these products have been linked to cancer or found around carcinogenic cells; some ingredients are known irritants. One thing that bothers me the most is that more than 1300 ingredients are banned in the EU cosmetics but only 10 are banned in the US.  Yes, you heard it; Only 10 ingredients!!

I didn't give much thought to the ingredients in my skin care products until I started to notice a significant change in my skin texture. My skin became so sensitive, dry, and irritated; I used to have a glowing soft skin. Long story short, I tried many mainstream products with no success.

I decided to go on a quest to find the right products and discovered that many of the ingredients in the mainstream products actually might be harmful for our health.

Johnson & Johnson was ordered to pay $72 million in a lawsuit linking its baby powder to cancer (2016). This is so shocking! One of the juror said about the Johnson and Johnson internal memos:  “They tried to cover up and influence the boards that regulate cosmetics,” he said, adding “They could have at least put a warning label on the box but they didn’t. They did nothing.”  Read the article below if you are interested to learn more about it. https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/morning-mix/wp/2016/02/24/johnson-johnson-ordered-to-pay-72m-in-suit-linking-talcum-powder-to-ovarian-cancer/
It is even more important to know what ingredients are in our cosmetics.
