Enter the magical natural skin care secret for glowing skin: clay masks. No matter your skin type, you should have a clay mask in your skin care routine. Clay masks have been used for centuries because they work amazing for the skin!

Many brands have clay masks that you can purchase, but you can do a very effective clay mask at home and see impressive results for your skin. Not all clays are the same benefits, my favorite clay is  the Aztec Secret - Indian Healing Clay. It is sourced from Death Valley, California. I love that  this is 100% Natural Calcium Bentonite Clay with no additives, so we can use it in various DIY masks in its purest form.

Bentonite clay is a mineral-rich natural ingredient that is mix of aged ash made from volcanos. You can use it for your face, body, and hair. Some people even drink bentonite clay for it healing properties; do your research before drinking betonite clay.  Betonite clay has so many benefits.
Do you have congested skin? Try these DIY bentonite clays. They will clear your pores and give you a smooth skin. Click on to read more. #greenbeauty #naturalskincare #diy

What does bentonite clay do for the skin?
  • purifies pores,
  • gently exfoliates the skin,
  • helps with eczema, psoriasis, and dermatitis
  • smooth and soften the skin
  • absorbs excess oil,
  • detoxifies the skin,
  • works great for skin firming
  • clarifies the skin complexion
  • Infuse the skin and hair with benefitial minerals like calcium, magnesium, potassium, and silicon

My skin looks so good since I have been doing bentonite clay masks. It is smooth with less visible pores; it is so soft and glowing. I love clay masks and they are so easy to make at home; you can mix the clay with additional natural ingredients to make amazing masks for your skin type.  All my homemade clay masks have 2 main ingredients: Bentonite clay and apple cider.

This is very important: always, always do a patch test on your skin to see how your skin responds to natural products, DIY homemade skin care products. All you need to do is to apply a very small amount to a spot on your face; I would say a spot that is not so visible(maybe under your jag). If your skin becomes irritated, itchy, uncomfortable, or inflamed, rinse off the product quickly and do NOT use it again.

Few things before I share with you my 4 DIY clay maks:
Bentonite clays can contain lead; I am sure you are thinking. What, You want me to put lead on my face? that's a valid concern, but lead is a natural occurring element that you find in nuts, sweet potatoes, fruits, spinach, etc. It is all about the level of lead. Lead poisoning happens when lead is able to build up in the body, i.e, when lead is on its own not bounded to other elements. BUT, lead in clay are bonded when they enter the body, so it is safe in my opinion.

This brings me to my few things #2: Do not let bentonite clay be in contact with anything metal; lead can become un-bounded when it is in contact with metallic elements (silver, copper, zinc). This is why I always use a wooden facial mask bowl and spatula. You could also use silicone facial mask set to mix your clay mask. I also use facial mask brush to evenly apply the mask.  Remember to keep the metallic part of the brush away. You could also use your fingers to apply the mask.

DIY Clay Masks  For Every Skin Type

Combine all the all dry ingredients before slowly incorporating liquid ingredients. The goal here is to avoid clumps and have a smooth paste that you can apply on your face.  Also, the heavier the clay mask paste the longer it will take to dry.

First, Aztec Clay Mask for Wrinkles
Mix the ingredients
  • 2 tbsp aztec clay
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 drop of each of the serums in this natural Anti Aging Serum Combo Pack

Second, Aztec Clay Mask for Acne
Mix the ingredients
  • 1 tbsp aztec clay
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1  activated charcoal capsule
  • 1-2 drop of any of these essential oils:  Tea Tree, Juniper Berry, Lavender

Third, Aztec Clay Mask for Dry Skin
Mix the ingredients
  • 2 tbsps aztec clay
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon rose hip oil

Fourth, Aztec Clay Mask for Oily Skin

Mix the ingredients
  • 2 tbsps aztec clay
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon witch hazel

Fifth, Aztec Clay Mask for sensitive skin
I don't recommend using bentonite clay on sensitive skin. It is little too strong. For sensitive skin, use kaolin clay that is gentlest of all clays.
Mix the ingredients
  • 2 tbsps kaolin clay
  • 1-2 tsp grounded oatmeal
  • 1 tablespoon honey

I never found any interesting article like yours. It is pretty worth enough for me. In my opinion, if all webmasters and bloggers made good content as you did, the web will be much more useful than ever before.
